INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY 2026 — JULY/AUGUST

House Work Presents offers one early-career artist a free, fully supported month of creative experimentation, mentorship, and a solo exhibition in East London.  ​​​

SHORTLIST ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re pleased to share the 10 shortlisted artists for the upcoming House Work Presents Residency.

The selected artists reflect a strong and varied set of practices, engaging with material, process, and contemporary conditions in thoughtful and distinct ways.

WHAT THE RESIDENCY INCLUDES

PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES AND SUPPORT

We provide structured support to encourage artistic development, including:

  • BESPOKE MENTORSHIP: weekly one-to-one sessions with curators, gallerists, artists, and writers - list of arts professionals
     

  • SOLO EXHIBITION: opportunity to present work in a professionally curated exhibition
     

  • STUDIO AND WORKSPACE: dedicated studio and workspace for the duration of the residency
     

  • EQUIPMENT SUPPORT: £200 budget to support production and participation needs]
     

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE: publication, artist bio, cv, artist catalog 
     

  • VISA SUPPORT: full administrative assistance for international artists to ensure a smooth arrival

CONTEXT

The residency is located in one of London’s most creative communities, nestled between London Fields, Broadway Market, and Regent’s Canal. Just a 15-minute walk away are some of the city’s leading galleries, project spaces, and artist-run initiatives. Selected artists are introduced to these spaces through a series of scheduled gallery visits, fostering connections and engagement within London’s vibrant arts scene.
